The following was on I-84 in New York, going into Connecticut (I think... I really should write down where I am as soon as I take the pic!)
Such an adventure getting to see the beauty of our country... but man, do I miss home.
There's baby chives in those pots. The weathered sign used to say "Grow dammit."
I miss family. Here's my beautiful blue-eyed daughter Danielle in my cousin's backyard. Joanna was showing off her garden of tomatoes and onions and squash. No fair!
I miss hanging out on our deck...
Hubby looks a little perturbed... perhaps because we spent $25 on Mad Gab to have a family game night...
...but other daughter didn't feel well.
At least I finally got to see our girls new apartment...
Their retro-style is so cute! Their two kittens didn't like Lolo chasing them though... look how she's raring to get back at 'em. One hid in the closet until the killer dachshund left.
I crave camping. Hopefully our company can get us home (I will be one pissed off gal if they don't!) for our annual family camp out on the 29th where I'm hoping to experiment with my latest fascination...
Dutch Oven cooking. I have one at home waiting to be dusted off and filled with peach cobbler or Texas chili.
That's Curly cooking up chicken and veggies for all the drivers hanging out at our Laredo, TX terminal. Man was it HOT! Not too fond of south Texas in the summer.
I found Curly intriguing with his handlebar mustache and expertise of the charcoal method for Dutch oven cooking. Hopefully weekend after next I'll be toasting with good friends and family at the lake to Curly's good old-fashioned values... that is, if my peach cobbler turns out well.
Hm... not sure how to get rid of all the brokenupness. Looks fine on the preview, but different here. Doodie.
